Application Architect | Attica (Ad Code: APARCHA01)

We are now looking for an Application Architect to join our team in Attica and contribute to the design, integration and evolution of critical information systems.

Your role in the team

You will be part of the team responsible for the architectural design, evaluation and coordination of IPTO’s information systems. Your work will ensure that systems are robust, scalable and aligned with the organization’s technological strategy, while enabling seamless interoperability across platforms.

What you will be working on

• Architectural design and planning of information systems.
• Reviewing and assessing the architecture of existing systems.
• Designing and developing architectural components and structural elements.
• Analyzing interconnection and integration requirements across information systems.
• Conducting data analysis and modeling.
• Coordinating the implementation of technical architecture.
• Acting as the technical interface between project managers and development teams.
• Producing software architecture documentation.
• Participating in technical working groups, progress meetings and user meetings.
• Supporting testing, analysis, technical documentation, installation, evaluation and reporting phases.
• Evaluating technical offers submitted by candidate contractors.

What we are looking for

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Informatics or Computer Science.
• Master’s Degree in fields related to Information Systems.
• Excellent command of English.
• 5 years of experience in Software Development.
• 5 years of experience in Database Management.
• 5 years of experience in Middleware Management (Application Servers, Identity & Access Management, Web Tiers, Load Balancers).
• 5 years of experience in Linux OS Management (Shell Scripting, Job Scheduling, Task Automation).
• 2 years of experience in managing Cloud Computing environments (IaaS & PaaS).

Desired qualifications

• Good knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Good knowledge of Microservices Architecture.
• Good knowledge of Cloud Computing.
• Good knowledge of Application Design.
• Good knowledge of Software Development Best Practices & Tools (Version Control, CI/CD, Code Review).
• Good knowledge of Modeling Tools (ER Models, UML Models).
• Good knowledge of Business Architecture.
• Good knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Excellent knowledge of SQL.
• Good knowledge of Business Process Analysis.
• Knowledge of interoperability technologies.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to apply high quality standards.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies.
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
• Ability to work effectively in an international/multicultural environment.
