Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer – Level 1 | Greece (Ad Code: NOC1GR)
At our company, we support the reliable operation of critical telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity across demanding network environments. As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a NOC Engineer – Level 1 to join our Network Operations team and contribute to the real‑time monitoring and operational management of our nationwide telecom network.
Your role in the team
You will be part of the team responsible for supervising network performance, detecting and handling incidents, and supporting first‑level troubleshooting across IP/MPLS and DWDM systems. Your work will be essential in maintaining service continuity and ensuring timely response to network events.
What you will be working on
• Performing real‑time monitoring of the company’s telecommunications networks
• Detecting, logging, tracking and supporting the resolution of network faults and incidents
• Executing basic configuration tasks on telecom equipment following established procedures
• Responding promptly to network alarms and performance degradation events
• Escalating incidents to 2nd‑level support teams when required
• Communicating with end users, vendors and equipment manufacturers during incident handling
• Maintaining accurate incident records and preparing detailed reports
• Participating in a 24x7 shift rotation model
What we are looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science, or a relevant Science degree combined with a Master’s in Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field
• Good command of the English language (written and spoken)
Desired qualifications
• Hands‑on knowledge of Nokia MPLS technologies
• Exposure to DWDM systems (Nokia / Huawei / Infinera)
• Basic troubleshooting experience in telecom or IT environments
• Awareness or experience with supporting infrastructure (power systems, generators, rectifiers/chargers, CCTV)
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, Nokia NRS, Huawei HCIA)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP/MPLS, Optical Networks)
• Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing systems
