The Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) is committed to supporting the country’s energy transition by developing a modern, reliable and sustainable electricity transmission system. As part of its continuous growth, IPTO is seeking to recruit a Power Systems Engineer (Grid Connection Studies) to join its team in Athens (Attica).

Your role in the team

You will support the team responsible for evaluating and processing connection requests to the Transmission System. Your work will contribute to the integration of new Users, the preparation of technical studies, and the coordination with internal and external stakeholders involved in the connection process.

What you will be working on

• Conducting studies for the connection of new Users to the Transmission System (RES plants, Battery Storage, Data Centers, conventional power plants) and preparing relevant technical reports.
• Managing communication with Users and providing technical clarifications during the issuance of Final Connection Offers, in collaboration with other IPTO Departments.
• Organizing and managing information related to Users connected to the Transmission System, maintaining records, and preparing technical documentation.
• Participating in joint working groups with other Transmission System Operators as part of international collaborations (ENTSO‑E).
• Contributing to the development and improvement of software tools supporting technical studies.
• Monitoring applicable legislation, technical standards, and regulatory documents.

What we are looking for

• University degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Programming knowledge (Python).
• Good command of the English language.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.

Desired qualifications

• Familiarity with load‑flow analysis.
• Knowledge of PSS/E software.
