As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Electricity Transmission System & Interconnections to join our team at our headquarters in Athens.
Your role in the team
You will contribute to the monitoring, analysis and management of regulatory matters related to the development of the Electricity Transmission System, international interconnections and the evolving European energy landscape. Working closely with multiple business units, you will support initiatives that facilitate network development, energy transition and the integration of renewable energy sources into the Greek Transmission System.
What you will be working on
- Monitoring national and European legislation related to Transmission System Development Plans and network investments.
- Supporting the preparation of proposals and recommendations regarding the establishment, amendment and harmonization of the national regulatory framework with European regulations.
- Managing regulatory matters related to IPTO's international interconnection projects and Projects of Common Interest (PCI), in cooperation with the relevant business units.
- Supporting the handling of regulatory issues associated with the development of the Electricity Transmission System and transmission network expansion projects.
- Contributing to initiatives related to the energy transition and the maximization of renewable energy sources (RES) and energy storage integration into the Hellenic Electricity Transmission System.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to assess and address regulatory aspects of network development and strategic energy projects.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another Engineering discipline from a recognized university.
- At least 1 year of proven professional experience related to the field of studies or participation in relevant research projects.
- Knowledge and experience of the current regulatory framework governing the electricity market in Greece and Europe.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Very good computer skills, especially in MS Office applications.
- Fulfilled military obligations for male candidates.
Desired qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Energy-related studies.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a regulated energy company or another regulated industry, in Greece or abroad.
- Good command of German, French or Spanish.
