As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join the Regulatory Legal Affairs Division of the Regulatory Affairs & Regulated Revenues Department at our headquarters in Athens.

 

Your role in the team

As a Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support on regulatory matters related to IPTO's activities, contributing to the development, interpretation and implementation of the regulatory framework governing the electricity transmission sector. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities while monitoring developments in the energy market at both national and European level.

 

What you will be working on

  • Monitoring regulatory developments in Greek, European and international legislation, case law, as well as regulatory practices and trends relevant to IPTO's activities.
  • Providing legal support on regulatory matters affecting the company's operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Contributing to the drafting, amendment and implementation of the regulatory framework applicable to IPTO.
  • Performing legal review and providing support for agreements and contracts with regulatory content.
  • Participating in legal and regulatory working groups of ENTSO-E and other international organizations or structures in which IPTO is represented.

 

What we are looking for

  • Law Degree from a recognized University in Greece or abroad.
  • Membership in a Greek Bar Association.
  • At least 7 years of proven professional experience in the energy sector, either in Greece or internationally.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates).

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry or company, in Greece or abroad.
  • Master's Degree from a recognized University, preferably specializing in Energy Law or Energy Markets.
  • Knowledge and experience of the current regulatory framework governing the electricity market in Greece and Europe.
  • Good command of German and/or French.
