We are now looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Attica, supporting the environmental licensing and development of major Transmission System projects across the country.
Your role in the team
As part of the Environmental team, you will play a key role in ensuring that IPTO’s development projects comply with environmental legislation and reflect the highest standards of sustainability. Your work will combine technical analysis, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and active contribution to the environmental performance of the Transmission System.
What you will be working on
- Manage the environmental licensing process for Transmission System Development projects, including data collection, preparation of environmental studies and communication with authorities.
- Prepare, evaluate and update Environmental Impact Studies (EISs) and all required documentation for licensing completion.
- Monitor environmental legislation and licensing procedures, maintaining close communication with competent authorities and involved stakeholders.
- Collaborate with design firms and technical teams to collect, organize and assess environmental data.
- Prepare technical dossiers, supporting documents and submissions to online platforms or relevant bodies.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of studies required for European co‑funded programs (e.g., Feasibility Studies, Do‑No‑Significant‑Harm assessments).
- Support the review of studies, monitor pending issues and actions, and assist with environmental design matters.
- Maintain records and prepare reports or technical notes.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing Environmental Impact Studies or active involvement in environmental data collection and licensing procedures.
- Good knowledge of environmental licensing legislation.
- Very good command of the English language.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of GIS or other spatial analysis tools.
- Experience in preparing technical dossiers for environmental projects.
