As part of our ongoing grid expansion, subsea interconnections, and energy transition initiatives, we are looking for an Environmental Licensing & Permitting Specialist to join our team in Attica.

Your Role

As a member of our environmental and project development team, you will play a key role in securing the environmental approvals and permits required for the successful delivery of major transmission infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineering teams, public authorities, consultants, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that projects are developed in full compliance with Greek and European environmental regulations.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Leading the preparation, review, and submission of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs / ΜΠΕ) and Environmental Commitment files (PPD / ΠΠΔ) for major transmission and energy infrastructure projects.
  • Managing environmental licensing processes from initiation through final approval, acting as the main point of contact with regulatory and permitting authorities.
  • Coordinating the acquisition of secondary permits and approvals, including forestry permits, land-use clearances, and Right-of-Way (RoW) approvals.
  • Ensuring alignment between engineering designs and approved environmental terms and conditions (AEPO), providing regulatory guidance to project teams.
  • Monitoring developments in Greek and European environmental legislation and assessing their impact on project development and implementation.
  • Supporting stakeholder consultations, technical committees, and interactions with public authorities throughout the permitting process.

What We Are Looking For

  • University Degree (Integrated Master or equivalent) in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in environmental licensing and permitting within energy, infrastructure, utilities, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Greek environmental legislation and European environmental regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience supporting or securing environmental approvals (AEPO) for complex infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Excellent command of both the Greek and English languages, written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with public authorities, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Good understanding of large-scale construction, energy, or infrastructure projects.
