Health & Safety Engineer | Attica

We are now looking for a Health & Safety Engineer to join our H&S team in Attica, supporting initiatives that safeguard our people, our contractors and our infrastructure.
Your role in the team
As part of the Health & Safety team, you will play a key role in ensuring that all activities across plants, construction sites and office premises meet the highest safety standards. Your work will combine field presence, technical expertise and active contribution to the continuous improvement of IPTO’s H&S culture.
What you will be working on
- Conduct Health & Safety audits across plants, construction sites and office premises.
- Prepare and present detailed audit reports and H&S findings.
- Develop H&S work instructions, checklists and procedures.
- Perform Occupational Risk Assessment studies.
- Prepare and maintain Health & Safety Plans and Folders.
- Organize and deliver H&S training sessions.
- Coordinate and participate in evacuation drills.
- Monitor Safety Officers’ performance and ensure compliance with H&S legislation.
- Provide practical H&S guidance and ongoing reporting.
- Contribute to advanced initiatives such as:
- transformation of the company’s H&S culture,
- HSMS procedures development,
- subcontractor H&S management,
- internal H&S trainings.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety (Safety Officer, Coordinator, Consultant/Advisor).
- Polytechnic or University degree (preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).
- Other Engineering or University majors may be considered with proven H&S experience.
- Excellent communication skills in Greek and English.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Desired Qualifications
- Postgraduate studies in QHSE.
- NEBOSH or equivalent certification.
