The Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) is committed to ensuring the efficient and sustainable supply of electricity across Greece, supporting the country’s energy transition through innovation, transparency and operational excellence. As part of its ongoing development, IPTO is seeking to recruit an Internal Communications Officer to join its Communications team in Athens.

 

Your role in the team

You will play a key role in shaping the internal voice of the organization, strengthening employee engagement and contributing to a unified, values‑driven corporate culture. Your work will include developing impactful content, managing internal communication channels, supporting corporate events and driving initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing internal communication strategies aligned with the company’s vision, values and business objectives.
  • Ensuring consistency in tone, messaging and branding across all internal communications.
  • Collaborating with leadership, HR and ESG teams to communicate company updates, initiatives and policies clearly and effectively.
  • Creating engaging content for internal channels, including emails, intranet, announcements and videos.
  • Maintaining and improving intranet content structure and user experience.
  • Using storytelling to highlight achievements, employee contributions and business milestones.
  • Supporting initiatives that promote a strong, inclusive and values‑driven workplace culture.
  • Designing and executing communication campaigns related to HR and ESG programs.
  • Gathering feedback and measuring the impact of internal communications to optimize future initiatives.
  • Planning and executing internal events such as strategy meetings and employee gatherings.
  • Coordinating logistics, messaging and materials for internal events and presentations.

 

What we are looking for

 

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, Journalism or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal communications within a corporate or large organizational environment.
  • Excellent copywriting skills in both Greek and English.
  • Strong understanding of internal communication strategies and employee engagement practices.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., SharePoint), internal newsletter tools and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and project‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and strong collaboration skills.

 

Desired qualifications

  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Canva).
