The Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) is committed to ensuring the efficient and sustainable supply of electricity across Greece, supporting the country’s energy transition through innovation, transparency and operational excellence. As part of its ongoing development, IPTO is seeking to recruit a Strategic Procurement Officer to join its team in Athens.

Your role in the team

You will be part of the team responsible for managing procurement procedures, tender processes and contract preparation for the supply of equipment and materials. Your contribution will ensure the timely availability of resources, compliance with legal and technical requirements, and the smooth execution of procurement activities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing tender processes and all related procurement procedures, including the preparation and drafting of contracts for the supply of equipment and materials.

 • Collaborating with other Departments to forecast needs and ensure the required availability of materials.

 • Working closely with technical, commercial and legal teams to develop technical specifications and define the commercial and legal terms of tender documents and contracts, in accordance with applicable legislation.

• Executing procurement procedures for materials, equipment and consumables, including:

– Publishing tender notices at national and EU level.

– Monitoring tender processes and participating in bid evaluation committees.

 • Managing procedures related to the disposal of materials and equipment.

What we are looking for

Required qualifications

• University degree in Economics or Engineering.

 • Excellent command of the English language.

• Strong ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

 • Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.

 • Very good knowledge of ERP systems.

Desired qualifications

• Postgraduate degree.

 • Previous experience in a Procurement Department within large companies or organizations.

• Knowledge of SAP.

 • Familiarity with Law 4412/2016.
